A Frankenstein classic car
Well maybe not a classic but for sure the guy who combined what I believe to be a ’66 Valiant Barracuda, a ’64 Dodge Dart, and the fins from maybe ’61 Caddy (my best guess). It caught my eye one day when I was out for a ride on my Busa passing through Hartford, WI. Of course I had to turn around to grab some pictures. The ‘Cuda is the base car and a real quick look at it did not show any major signs of rust. Ok, I can see doing a bit special on the hood with the Dart parts but when he added the fins, I’m out. If you take a close look at the pics I shot of the fins, he did not do a very good job grafting them on. But hey, who am I to judge? It’s his car and as long as the guy is happy with it, let ‘er rip tatter chip.
Not knowing what was under the hood, I would say the car is worth maybe a grand with a large portion of that being the rear window. These are just about impossible to find. I wonder what kind of response he would get if he took it to a Mopar show. Hey maybe this is his idea of a Halloween prank. Boo.

Hello, my Name is John. My father owns this car. He has owned this car for 39 years. The previous owner installed the fins and other modifications. We started on the engine and trans in 2014. The winter after these pictures were taken, we took it to a body shop of a friend, and started disassembly and repainting/refinishing of the vehicle. It will be in the World Of Wheels in Milwaukee, WI this year.(2018) It is all black now. I think it would be really cool if you came and saw it, and possibly took updated pictures. We can also give you any information about the car at that time.

So would I Stephen. It was parked on a street that I go by on my motorcycle rides and it was a short time after that when it wasn’t there anymore. What happened to it, I have no idea. Thanks for stopping by and tell your friends.
