You like cars, I like cars! Unlike most folks, I’ve been lucky enough to review them for Wisconsin’s most-read newspaper, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel from 1989 to 2019, and now for WUWM.com since 2019. Each Sunday my column appears on that Milwaukee NPR (89.7 FM) station’s website, www.wuwm.com. That’s where you’ll find my most current review. Here I post all my reviews, plus die-cast reviews I’ve written for the hobby world. And … because I can, I also include several additional photos with each review to help shoppers get a better idea of what to expect inside and out.
How do I review cars? I get one weekly from two delivery services that handle all the brands (except high-end brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Tesla) and I usually drive a car for a full week. I aim to deliver honest reviews that reflect what the average driver, or buyer, would see and expect in a vehicle. I drive the cars like you would, on city streets, to the grocery store, to see the grandkids, etc. I put a high value on ease of use, especially the car’s interior, quality and on styling for the exterior. Plus I have my quirks. I’m a shorter driver at 5-5, and as one of my buddies points out, I LOVE sun visors that slide or have extenders.
